This year’s conference will explore the dynamic relationships between individuals and empires, focusing on how imperial systems shaped the lives of their subjects and how individuals influenced the structures of empires. Scholars from various fields will present interdisciplinary insights into the role of individuals within imperial and postimperial contexts, offering a unique perspective on the impacts of empires.
